House Taken Over

This couple of weeks we are reading Argentinian writer Julio Cortazar. Originally we were meant to read his work "Circe" but we could not find the English version of it so instead we are reading "House Taken Over"

Cortazar has been called "modern master of the short story", he influenced a whole generation of Spanish writers. As we change from writer we can see an immediate change, while Poe wants the story to move on, Cortazar wants you to submerge into the story by expanding the detail. He wants you to read in between lines and imagine abstract ideas.

We can find this weeks material in the compilation of short stories in the book: Blow-up and other stories

Side note: We would like to invite Writers to submit their works so you can share them with our community of readers, so please contact us if you are interested.
